Gorgeous 1930s spider cobweb kitten heel shoes by Day & Co, 115 New Street, Birmingham, England.

In very good condition, leather insole and sole shows signs of use but very wearable. Suede shows minor signs of wear and scuffs. Shoes are structurally strong.

26cm insole, 9cm width, 4cm heel

115 New Street is now a Starbucks. The shoe shop’s slogan was ‘the aristocracy of footwear’. Originally Day & Co, it was later rebranded to Day’s. The bookshop, Hudsons, seemed like a very popular spot for locals. On an online forum people said this about the shoe shop: ‘Don’t seem to have worried much about window dressing. The shoe display seemed pretty random.’
